Mitsui Phenol Singapore has shut its Phenol/Acetone plant in last week. Shutdown of plant was an unexpected outcome but reason behind this has been the technical glitch in operation. The plant is expected to restart production in early December, 2015.
Phenol/Acetone plant is situated at Jurong Island, Singapore and has production capacity of Phenol around 310,000mt/year and Acetone around 180,000mt/year.
