There has been significant rise in the domestic prices for Phenol since last few days. In last three days prices has increased by Rs.7/Kg. This rise has been particularly due to shortage of material at Kanda port and the rise in international prices as well. Today domestic prices for Phenol were assessed around Rs. 82/KG for bulk quantity.
SI group has also increased its Phenol prices twice in this week. New prices are around Rs.81/Kg.
Downstream product Benzene has increased throughout this week in turn resulting in the hike of other related products. Benzene FOB Korea prices were assessed around USD 840/MTS, increased by more than USD40/MTS in last four days.
