Chevron Phillip Chemical Company has announced the completion of its pilot PolyEthylene unit
at its research and technology centre at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. This unit will have new catalyst and Polymer development which is to take place on a pilot scale prior to implementation in full-scale operations, including the company’s US$6 bln investment along the Texas Gulf Coast expected to start up next year. “We are grateful to the men and women who worked tirelessly and more importantly, safely, to make this project a success,” said Don Lycette, Senior Vice President of Research and Technology for Chevron Phillips Chemical. “It has been a year since we broke ground in Bartlesville, and we now have cutting-edge technology to assist our customers by developing new products, processes and technologies.”
