Shell had stopped supply of ethylene from its steam cracker due to an emergency shutdown. The unit is based in Pulau Bukom in Singapore and having the production capacity of around 960000 mt/year.
Market players have said that Asian ethylene market will see lesser impact from shut down as presently demand sentiments has been bearish due to Chinese national holiday.
