Singapore’s Ethylene cracker resumed by Shell Chemical

Singapore based shell Chemical has restarted its Ethylene Cracker on 19th October, 2015 after unexpected shutdown. Market source said that on back of technical glitch cracker was shut down on 14th October, 2015. The company has also lifted force majeure on supplies of base chemical from its cracker.

The Cracker is located at Bukom Island in Singapore and has production capacity to produce Ethylene around 960,000MT/year and Propylene around 540,000MT/year.
