Taiwan based Formosa Corp has shut down its SM unit on temporary note. The reason has not been specified yet by the company officials.
Plant is located at Mailiao having the production capacity of 6,00,000 mt/year. The company owns two other plant at same location having capacities of 2,50,000 mt/year and 3,50,000 mt/year respectively.
