Malaysia’s state owned Petronas has delayed the start up of its petrochemical unit at Johar. The company has been delaying the start-up of its RAPID refining and petrochemical complex in the southern state of Johar. According to the chief executive of project the start up of refinery will be extended to the middle of 2019. All of the engineering, procurement and construction contracts have been awarded for the refinery, while the petrochemical plant is still being tendered.
