South Korea based LG Chem is planning to shut down its Styrene Monomer units in March, 2016. It is expected to remain shut for around 30 days. LG Chem operates two SM units in Daesan and Yeosu. The Company’s Daesan unit has production capacity to produce SM around 180,000mt/year while the Yeosu unit’s production capacity is 500,000mt/year.
