Japan based Mitsui Chemicals has decided to shut down its TDI unit permanently. The unit will be closed permanently in March. Mitsui Chemicals is one of the leading manufacturers of TDI in Asia. The permanent shutdown of Mitsui Chemical’s TDI unit may prompt South Korean producers such as OCI, Hanwha Fine Chemical and HU CHEMS to ramp up operating rates for their TD units,” said Lee Dong Wook, Research Associate of Hi Investment & Securities.
