There has been major announcement of starting of two new PE plants in China after being delayed for several times. Zhongtian Hechuang and Jiangsu Sailboat, after being delayed to start up several times, finally commenced operation and began sales all around the market. With Jiangsu Sailboat and Zhongtian Hechuang started up, China’s LDPE capacity totaled 3.08 million tons/year.Jiangsu Sailboat has a 300kt/year LDPE/EVA swing plant, and the capacity distributed to LDPE production is 100kt/year; Zhongtian Hechuang has two stage of LDPE production, with 250kt/year started already, 120kt/year soon to come on stream. China’s LDPE capacity increased by 1.07 million tons/year, adding a significant portion of 53.2% in just over one year.
