Celanese Corp has restarted its VAM unit after brief maintenance. Earlier the unit was shut down in the month of February in the first week due to fire incident. The unit remained off-stream for around 6-7 weeks for maintenance and repair work. Unit is based at Jurong island in Singapore and has the production capacity of VAM around 2, 10,000 mt/year.
