 The above given graph focuses on the Acetone price trend. If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that this week prices of Acetone have increased and remain firm . By the end of the week prices of Acetone were assessed at the level of Rs.56.5/kg for Kandla and 55/kg for Mumbai ports of India.

INDIA& INTERNATIONAL

  • For the current week in domestic market acetone price have increased and remain firm in compare to previous week and at the end of the week prices were assessed at the level of Rs 56.5/kg for Kandla and Rs 55/kg Mumbai ports.
  • This week in international market, prices of Acetone also have increased in compare to previous week.
  • This week feedstock benzene and energy prices have escalated which has increased the prices of Acetone as well.
  • Acetone inventories at shore tanks along eastern China have fallen to 10,000 tonnes.
  • Taiwan’s TPCC restarts Kaohsiung phenol/acetone unit.
  • The US acetone market is set to face tighter supply and pressure to increase import volumes in 2018 because of an impending production cutback.
  • This week crude oil prices have followed up velocity. On Thursday Brent crude oil hit a more than three-year high breaking through the psychologically important $70 a barrel level for the first time since December 2014.
  • On Thursday, closing crude values have increased. WTI on NYME closed at $63.80/bbl; prices have increased by $0.23/bbl in compared to last closing prices. While Brent on Inter Continental Exchange increased by $0.06/bbl in compared to last trading and was assessed around $69.26/bbl.
  • Benzene inventories in east China stood largely stable at 139,700 tonnes.
  • Feedstock benzene prices have increased in Asian market this week.
  • FOB Korea and CFR China prices of Benzene were evaluated at USD 880/mt and USD 895/mt respectively.
