• This week in the domestic market, prices of EDC have increased in compare to previous week and were assessed at Rs 17/kg.
• In international market, prices of EDC also have increased in compare to earlier week.
• This week EDC prices have increased on account of increase in feedstock ethylene prices.
• Ethylene prices higher in Asia on continued limited regional product availability.
• The US has started to recover from Tropical Storm Harvey's damage. ExxonMobil restarted its entire plant in Beaumont.
• Taiyo Vinyl is planning to shut its PVC plant for a maintenance turnaround in 2018. The plant is planned to be shut in end-June 2018 for about one month. It is located in Osaka in Japan, having the PVC production capacity of 160,000 mt/year.
