• As per the above graph, it has been inferred that this week the prices of EDC have decreased in compare to previous week and at the end of this week prices were assessed at the level of Rs 16/kg.

Total import at various ports of India August, 2017

Above chart represents the total imported quantity of EDC for the month of August, 2017.
Last month total imports were around 53521mt. As per chart at Hazira port imports were higher while at Bombay port import was lesser.

• This week in the domestic market, prices of EDC have decreased in compare to previous week and were assessed at Rs 16/kg.
• In international market, prices of EDC also have decreased in compare to earlier week.
• This week EDC prices have remained firm on account of diminish in feedstock ethylene prices.
• The US has started to recover from Tropical Storm Harvey's damage. ExxonMobil restarted its entire plant in Beaumont.
• As per report, EDC market is moving with soft velocity no major deals and discussion has been heard.

• CFR China prices of feedstock ethylene USD 1345/MT
• CFR South East Asia prices of feedstock ethyleneUSD 1215/MT
