Weekly Price Trend: 29-01-2018 to 02-02-2018

• The above given graph focuses on Formaldehyde price trend for the current week.
• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that the market of Formaldehyde had followed up-to-soft trend in the domestic market and at the end of this week price were assessed at the level of Rs. 15.5/Kg at Ahmedabad Port.

The above given chart shows the comparison between domestic price trend of Formaldehyde and Methanol from 29th  Jan to 02nd  Feb, 2018. Previous week prices of Formaldehyde had followed firm inclination and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs.15/Kg at Ahmedabad port. Prices of Methanol which is a feedstock of Formaldehyde also had followed weak trend at Kandla and Mumbai ports and at the end of previous week prices of methanol were assessed at Rs. 28.75/Kg for Kandla and Mumbai port.

This week the domestic market of Formaldehyde had followed up-to-soft tendency and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs.15.5/Kg at Ahmedabad port, The prices of methanol also had followed up-to-soft proclivity, on 29th Jan, 2018 Methanol prices were assessed at Rs 28.25/kg for Kandla and Mumbai ports and at the end of the week on 2nd Feb, 2018 prices of methanol were evaluated at Rs 29.25/kg for Kandla and for Mumbai ports of India.

Previous week, CFR India methanol prices have plunged; domestic prices also have remained volatile. This week methanol prices have remained soft and formaldehyde prices also remained same. CFR India prices of Methanol were assessed in the range of USD 367/MTS. This week prices have plunged sharply by USD 16MT in compares to last assessed price.
