• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that the market of Formaldehyde had followed firm trend in the domestic market and at the end of this week price were assessed at the level of Rs. 13.5/Kg at Ahmedabad Port.

The above given chart shows the comparison between domestic price trend of Formaldehyde and Methanol from 05th Mar to 09th Mar, 2018. Previous week prices of Formaldehyde had followed weak inclination and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs.13.5/Kg at Ahmedabad port. Prices of Methanol which is a feedstock of Formaldehyde also had followed weak trend at Kandla and Mumbai ports and at the end of previous week prices of methanol were assessed at Rs. 25.25/Kg for Kandla and Mumbai port.

This week the domestic market of Formaldehyde had followed firm tendency and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs.13.5/Kg at Ahmedabad port, The prices of methanol also had followed soft proclivity, on 5th Mar, 2018 Methanol prices were assessed at Rs 25.25/kg for Kandla and Mumbai ports and at the end of the week on 9th Mar, 2018 prices of methanol were evaluated at Rs 26.75/kg for Kandla and for Mumbai ports of India.

Previous week, CFR India methanol prices have plunged; domestic prices also have decreased. This week methanol prices have plunged and formaldehyde prices have remained firm. CFR India prices of Methanol were assessed in the range of USD 341/MTS. This week prices have increased sharply by USD 5MT in compares to last assessed price.
