• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that the market of Formaldehyde had followed firm trend in the domestic market and at the end of this week price were assessed at the level of Rs. 17.5/Kg at Ahmedabad Port.

The above given chart shows the comparison between domestic price trend of Formaldehyde and Methanol from 6th Feb to 10th Feb, 2017. Previous week prices of Formaldehyde had followed up inclination and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs. 17.5/Kg at Ahmedabad port. Prices of Methanol which is a feedstock of Formaldehyde had followed volatile trend at Kandla and Mumbai ports and at the end of previous week prices of methanol were assessed at Rs. 34/Kg for Kandla and Rs 32/kg for Mumbai the port.

This week the domestic market of Formaldehyde had followed firm tendency and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs.17.5/Kg at Ahmedabad port, The prices of methanol had followed mixed proclivity, on 6th Feb, 2017 Methanol prices were assessed at Rs 33/kg for Kandla and Rs 31.5/kg for Mumbai port and at the end of the week on 10th Feb prices of methanol were evaluated at Rs 34/kg for Kandla and Rs 33/kg for Mumbai ports of India.

Previous week, CFR India methanol prices have decreased, domestic prices also fluctuated. This week methanol prices have remained mixed. Recently methanol market is moving with uncertain velocity market players have been uncertain that what will be the upcoming market outlook.
CFR India prices of Methanol were assessed in the range of USD 360/MTS. This week prices have increased by USD 12/mt compares to last assessed price.
