• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that the market of Formaldehyde had followed weak trend in the domestic market and at the end of this week price were assessed at the level of Rs. 14/Kg at Ahmedabad Port.

From 20th Mar to 24th Mar, 2017

The above given chart shows the comparison between domestic price trend of Formaldehyde and Methanol from 20th Mar to 24th Mar, 2017. Previous week prices of Formaldehyde had followed weak inclination and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs. 16/Kg at Ahmedabad port. Prices of Methanol which is a feedstock of Formaldehyde had followed weak trend at Kandla and Mumbai ports and at the end of previous week prices of methanol were assessed at Rs. 25.75/Kg for Kandla and Rs 25.25/kg for Mumbai the port.

This week the domestic market of Formaldehyde had followed weak tendency and at the end of the week prices were assessed at Rs.14/Kg at Ahmedabad port, The prices of methanol had followed weak proclivity, on 20th march, 2017 Methanol prices were assessed at Rs 28/kg for Kandla and Rs 27.5/kg for Mumbai port and at the end of the week on 24th Mar, 2017 prices of methanol were evaluated at Rs 25.75/kg for Kandla and Rs 25.25/kg for Mumbai ports of India.

Previous week, CFR India methanol prices have plunged, domestic prices have fluctuated. This week methanol prices have decreased. Presently methanol market is moving with waek velocity no major deals and discussion has been heard.
CFR India prices of Methanol were assessed in the range of USD 315/MTS. This week prices have decreased by USD 32/mt compares to last assessed price.
