Weekly Price Trend: 14-05-2018 to 18-05-2018

          The above given graph focuses on the Melamine Standard price trend for the current week.
If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices then it can be observed that the prices of Melamine (Standard) have remained firm this week and at the end of the week were assessed at the level of Rs. 119/Kg for Ahmedabad and Rs. 117/Kg for Mumbai port.

• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices then it can be observed that the prices of Melamine (Commercial) have remained firm but in compare to previous week prices have plunged and at the end of the week were assessed at the level of Rs. 118/Kg for Ahmedabad and Rs. 116/Kg for Mumbai port.

• This week in domestic market prices of Melamine standard and commercial quality have remained firm and at the end of this week price were assessed at the level of Rs. 119/Kg for Ahmedabad and Rs.117/kg for Mumbai ports and commercial quality were evaluated at Rs. 118/kg for Ahmedabad and Rs.116/kg for Mumbai.
• This week International Melamine standard prices and commercial prices have remained firm in compare to previous week.
• Melamine supply in the second quarter of this year may differ between China and areas outside China.
• In China it is anticipated that Melamine supply will be ample as after maintenance plants will operate positively and with advantage of good availability of natural gas  and reduced feedstock urea.
• Apart from China melamine supply will decline on plant turnaround.
• Market players have said that in Q2 melamine demand will remain soft.
• In India, requirements for melamine imports will decline once a new 40,000 tonne/year plant is completed and started up.
• Total imported quantity of Melamine for the month of April 2018 was around 4777MT.
