• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly price trend it can be observed that this week domestic market prices of Phenol have increased and at the end of the week prices were assessed at the level of Rs. 114/Kg for bulk quantity.

• This week domestic phenol market prices were assessed around Rs.114/Kg for bulk quantity. Prices have increased.
• CFR India prices for this week were assessed in the range of USD 1460-1480/MTS, prices have increased in compared to last assessed values.
• China's Yangzhou Shiyou restarts its phenol/acetone plant.
• Global phenol/acetone demand growth to support higher plant operating rates.
• This week Phenol prices have escalated with the increase in demand sentiments from end users.
• This week oil prices have followed volatile trend. On Thursday oil prices surged due to concern about a steep drop in exports from Venezuela and concerns OPEC may not raise production at its meeting this month.
• On Thursday, closing crude values have increased. WTI on NYME closed at $65.95/bbl; prices have increased by $1.22/bbl in compared to last closing prices. While Brent on Inter

• Asia’s benzene demand will go up in the month of July-August with the expected restart of downstream plants from turnarounds, with supply has plunged by scheduled shutdowns of two regional plants.
• Benzene inventories at shore tanks along eastern China fell.
• This week benzene prices have remained mixed.
• FOB Korea and CFR China prices of Benzene were evaluated at USD 845/mt and USD 855/mt respectively.
