• This week domestic phenol market prices were assessed around Rs.105/Kg for bulk quantity. Prices have remained volatile.
• CFR India prices for this week were assessed in the range of USD 1490-1510/MTS, prices have remained firm in compared to last assessed values.
• As per report, China phenol prices to stay high on strong demand.
• Asia phenol sentiment optimistic for H1 of 2018 on demand, turnarounds.
• Zhejiang Rongsheng will start its Phenol unit in the last quarter of 2019. The unit is expected to go on-stream in the fourth quarter of 2019. The unit is based in East China and has the manufacturing capacity of 4,00,000 mt/year.
• Feedstock benzene prices have increased in Asian market this week.
• FOB Korea and CFR China prices of Benzene were evaluated at USD 870/mt and USD 885/mt respectively.
