Weekly Price Trend: 11-03-2019 to 15-03-2019
- If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that for the current week prices of Styrene Monomer remained firm throughout the week.
- On Friday domestic values were assessed around Rs.94/Kg for bulk quantity at Kandla and Rs.96/kg for Mumbai ports of India.

INDIA& INTERNATIONAL
- The domestic prices of Styrene were assessed at the level of Rs.94/Kg for Kandla and Rs 96/kg Mumbai ports. Domestic prices remained stable for this week.
- FOB Korea values for Styrene were assessed around USD 1035/M, reduced by USD 15/MT in compare to last week’s closing values. On other side CFR China prices also increased and were assessed at the level of USD 1075/MT. Here also prices reduced by USD 15/MT in compare to last week’s closing values. South East Asia prices of SM were evaluated at USD 1065/MT.
- Benzene FOB Korea prices also reduced by USD 15/MT for this week. FOB Korea values were assessed around USD 605/MT. On other side CFR China prices were assessed around USD 608/MT for this week.
- On Thursday, closing crude values have mixed. WTI on NYME closed at $58.61/bbl. Prices have increased by $0.35/bbl in compared to last closing prices. While Brent on Inter Continental Exchange decreased by $0.32/bbl in compare to last closing price and was assessed around $67.23/bbl.
- Equate has restarted its Styrene Monomer unit after extended turnarounds. Earlier the unit was shut down in the second week of January for annual maintenance. The unit was restarted again in 8th March 2019. Unit is based at Shuaiba in Kuwait and has the production capacity of 4,50,000 mt/year.
