Weekly Price Trend: 11-09-2017 to 15-09-2017

• If we take a quick look at the above given weekly prices, it can be observed that for the current week prices of Styrene Monomer have remained firm in compare to previous week and at the end of the week prices were assessed Rs.98/Kg for bulk quantity at Kandla and Rs 98/kg for Mumbai ports of India.

INDIA& INTERNATIONAL

• The domestic prices of Styrene were assessed at the level of Rs.98/Kg for ex Kandla and Rs 98/kg Mumbai ports.
• CIF India prices were assessed at the level of USD 1310/MT.
• This week FOB Korea prices were assessed USD 1280/MTS prices have decreased in compared to last week’s closing prices.
• This week Sm prices have plunged with the plunge in feedstock benzene prices and bearish demand sentiments from end users.
• Formosa Chemicals & Fiber Corp (FCFC) is likely to undergo maintenance in the month of September 2017. The units will be shut down in the mid of September. The y will remain off-stream for around one month. Units are based at Mailiao in Taiwan and has the manufacturing capacity of 2,50,000 mt/year for unit no1 and 3,50,000 mt/year for unit no 2.
• This week feedstock benzene prices have decreased.
• FOB Korea and CFR China prices of Benzene were evaluated at USD 775/mt and USD 790/mt respectively.
