  • This week domestic market price was assessed at Rs 48.5/kg for Kandla and Rs. 48.5/kg for Mumbai ports of India.
  • CFR India prices were evaluated at USD 675/mt, prices have increased in compares to previous week.
  • CFR China price of toluene were assessed at the level of USD 655/mt.
  • FOB Korea prices were evaluated at USD 640/mt prices has increasedin compare to previous week.
  • This week toluene prices have increased in Asia on account of increase demand sentiments from end users and limited availability of material in China market.
  • As per report, CNOOC Huizhou’s second aromatics unit is plans to begin production before Sep end.
  • Heavy rains and floods has led to shutdown of major refineries in US gulf coast. Housston is regarded as hub for refineries and petrochemical plants.
  • Several more companies have shut down plants as precautionary measures to Harvey impacts or have had production issues as a result of severe weather and flooding:
  • As per report, China mixed aromatics import losses widen 64% on lower domestic prices.
  • This week oil prices have followed volatile inclination. On Thursday oil prices have escalated around 2 percent. As U.S. refineries are shut because of Tropical Storm Harvey, some expected to be shut for up to two weeks. This will leads to shortage of supply in market and pushing prices up.
  • On Thursday, closing crude values have increased.WTI on NYME closed at $47.23/bbl, prices have increased by $1.27/bbl in compared to last closing prices. While Brent on Inter Continental Exchange increased by $1.52/bbl in compared to last trading and was assessed around $52.38/bbl.
