Weekly Price Trend: 06-11-2017 to 10-11-2017
- The graph above focuses on the Vinyl Acetate Monomer price trend for the current week.
- There has been heavy decline in domestic values for VAM. Decline in the values has been due to regain in the supply of chemical in domestic market.
- By end of the week prices were assessed around Rs.70/Kg for Kandla port and Rs.72/Kg for Mumbai port.

The above chart shows the international prices for Vinyl Acetate Monomer. International prices of VAM increased slightly for this week in compare to last Friday’s assessed level.
INDIA & INTERNATIONAL
- VAM prices were assessed at the level of Rs.70/Kg at Kandla and Rs.72/Kg for Mumbai port for bulk quantity.
- On other side, CFR India values remained unchanged for this week. Prices were assessed in the range of USD 1070-1090/MTS, with no change in compare to last week’s closing values.
- On other side there has been hike in Acetic Acid market. Prices were assessed in the range of USD 540-560/MTS. There has been no major impact of surge in Acetic Acid values on VAM prices.
- Market trends remained stable to positive for this week. Market will see an upsurge in next few weeks as political tension Saudi Arabia has been clinching the petrochemical market all over the world.
- Last week on Thursday, closing crude values have increased. WTI on NYME closed at $57.17/bbl; prices have increased by $0.36/bbl in compared to last closing prices. While Brent on Inter Continental Exchange increased by $0.44/bbl in compared to last trading and was assessed around $63.93/bbl.
