LG Chem has decided to make an investment of 300 billion won ($278.6 million) to expand its petrochemical facilities in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, the company said Tuesday. Indian government has taken an important decision of extending its anti dumping duty on imports of Phthalic Anhydride from three countries which are Korea RP, Chinese Taipei and Israel. There has been keen interest from Chinese firms to make investment in naphtha sector in Pakistan. The Niti-Ayog of central government is considering a proposal for suggesting the creation of a Methanol Economy Fund with a corpus of ₹4000-₹5000 crore.
