Kaveh Methanol plant which is regarded as one of the world’s largest methanol plant has completed more than 95% of its construction. This project is being implemented in the Persian Gulf city of Banda Dayyer.
The facility is being built to produce two million tons of methanol per annum or 7,000 tons per day.
Since Iran is one of the richest resources of natural gas, it can be a forerunner in olefin production out of methanol if investing in such projects as MTO/NTP. The products will sharply increase methanol inside.
The plant is now undergoing final phases of construction. Once the new petrochemical projects are on stream, petrochemical output will increase
