Iran has shown major investment in development of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone. PSEEZ is located in Hormozgan Province in the south of Iran. Zanganeh, while voicing satisfaction towards earlier measures taken in the zone, asserted “certain barriers have been removed and positive development have recently taken place in PSEEZ.” This zone has been described as zone as the best spot for expansion and development of petrochemical industries noting that the Oil Ministry was supplying gas to the region in a bid to support petrochemical activities. Covering 10,000 hectares in west of Hormozgan Province, Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) was established in ‎‏1998‏‎ with the aim to utilize South ‎Pars oil and gas resources and to encourage commercial activities in oil, gas and ‎petrochemical industries.
