Reliance Industries Limited has shut down its Poly vinyl chloride (PVC) unit based at Hazira. This was an unplanned shutdown as some technical issues arose in the operation of plant. The unit will remain off-stream for around 2-3 weeks. However the company has not released any official notice for the same.Unit is based at Hazira in Gujarat and has the production capacity of 3,60,000 mt/year.
