After the long slowdown in the demand of plywood sector, September month brought new hope for laminate companies. Report said that in the month of September demand for laminates had improved on the line of positive sentiment.
Source said that companies achieved its sales target of second quarter due to improved demand in last month of quarter. In the month of September demand was higher due to festive season such as Ganesh festival and Navratras etc as customer asked material for renovation work and opening of new shops.
Some market players said that taking the note of markets, September month was very good for organized players as they recorded highest volume sales of ongoing financial year till now. On the contrary the other players witnessed an average demand. Owing to higher consumption from end user industry sectors demand for related chemicals such as Melamine, Methanol, Phenol, and formaldehyde was also higher.
Moreover according to the market players, with the significant fall in the crude prices most of the laminate manufacturers and customers have taken a stance of wait-and watch to further fall in the prices of raw material and plywood products.
Recently many developers started promoting new projects by offering new schemes that can attract consumers. Industry report said that growth of India’s laminates industry was almost stable since last two years, it is anticipated that in near term demand for this sector will boost as government is planning for the dream mission project to provide house for all by 2022.
