India is rising as one of the top three largest manufacturer countries of decorative laminates. Indian Decorative laminate industry has been growing rapidly as Laminate is one of the popular product categories among interior materials. Indian companies are posing a gritty approach in terms of improvement, quality and preamble of new categories with contented price options.

Source said that India ranks 2nd amongst decorative laminate producing countries in the world in terms of quantity of Laminate produced. With a hope of a development of friendly government and better demand from the housing segment is going to boost to the industry.

As per the report, this March ending remained sturdy for the laminate and plywood industry. As March is the major month where all the cover up procedure takes place but this march proved to be dull and flat for the industry. There was already heavy stock piled up in the month of February which was carry forwarded in the next month which held up the decision of new purchasing. In addition the poor payment cycle and cash tightened supply in the market held the industry players to take fresh orders.

The laminate industry is projected to witness an upward momentum with greater availability of credit in the market and swell in the demand in the various categories like kitchen wares, furniture and wall panels etc. Better economic sentiment in the country and on the export front will quickly put it on growth over 8 to 9%.

Market players said that this fiscal is passing by full of challenges & competitions in sales and market share way. To growth in the future projections and organized trade Industrialists and market players are planning to introduce improved laminate featuring enhanced durability and advance designed products. Moreover currently manufacturers are looking for the different segment of consumer classes and their requirements so accordingly they will assemble products which will enhance the volume of sales and trade.
