Implementation of GST- rule will be the major changer for plywood industry, where the unorganized sector will get the 80 percent of market share, said by market players.

Some market players have said that the manufacturing sector of plywood has bunch to cover in between Oct16-March 17. These six months are opportune time to assess GST effect on the industry and to find out that where it will stand if prices reduced.

Presently, Industry players are working on the strategy to attract the customers. Some market analyst have said that to present the product smartly market players have to fully trained and motivated to explain the benefits of quality that are going to offer.

It is time to create transparency in dealing, billing and taxes as GST will create a level-playing field for the plywood sector as the exemption limit is restricted to Rs.20 lakhs pushing most small units out of the exemptions net, report said.
