Polystyrene demand has shown some improvement in Indian market. But still domestic players believe there is some demand gap in the market. Polystyrene prices continuously fluctuating due to that proper decision cannot be taken by the traders and users. Due to fluctuation in Styrene prices, Polystyrene prices have increased on Wednesday in Asian market.
In all types of Polystyrene like GPPS (general purpose Polystyrene), HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) and EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) shows increment in international prices for the current week due to Styrene prices. All type of Polystyrene was up by USD 5-15/MT compared to last week.
Sources said that in coming days it may be possible that they will see good demand for the polystyrene market. Prices of Styrene have also affected the demand for the polystyrene because that has resulted in the fluctuation of prices for Polystyrene. Industry sources said that buyers in this industry have adopted need based buying strategy due to fluctuating INR against the USD. Market players are still not able to see how Styrene prices are going to behave in the near future.
