Textile Industry Round Up (10/2/14 to 15/2/14)

The Textile industry is growing with a very slow pace from past few years, but last year it had shown good improvement because of increased exports. The Ministry of Textiles has taken several steps for the growth and development of Indian technical textiles industry. Market players say that they will restart some of closed mills in near future for the development of the industry.

In a recent conference held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, textile traders and experts from all over the country and abroad said that Gujarat is one of the most investment friendly destinations in this country for this industry. They added that newly introduced policy by government will create more of investment in this sector. According to them a skilled labor force, low cost factor, product innovation, efficient infrastructure etc, keep Gujarat among well placed areas for investment in the country.

Industry analysts said that current year is good for spinning sector as demand for export orders are growing and supply of crop is also good. Industry sources said to remain more competitive in the global market, the sector need to modernize. Current week was good for this industry as per trade is concern.
