Textile processing industry is characterized by large amount of water and chemicals for various operation processes. Chemical outsourcing is becoming more popular within the industry. Number of chemicals are used in textile manufacturing and processing. Finishing Chemical is one of the largest growing aspects of the textile industry .These chemicals maintain its softness, color, and texture after being washed many times. In order to remain competitive, textile companies must create products that allow consumers to invest once and have the item for many times.

Some of the chemicals that are used in textile processing are dangerous for environment so manufacturers have the new computer generated Dying Technology. It provides the manufacturers to get the colors correct at the first time and reduces the amount of pollutants released from having to dye batches repeatedly. It increase productivity and reduce negative environmental impact.

Cleaner production is also an attractive approach to remove environmental problem related with industrial production. Since in some of the textile sector cleaner production approach has been successfully implemented, it shows significant environmental improvement, low cost and financial savings.

Investment is the key for Indian textile industry’s rapid growth. The industry (including dyed and printed) attracted FDI worth Rs 5,883.71 crore. Maharashtra state government is planning to generate 15,000 jobs by investing approx Rs.1800 crore in textile industry, approx 500 textile units have been started in the state and other projects are near to come. Some other policy is yet to come with having 14 textile parks in state and that will generate around 14,000 jobs with the Rs.16,000 crore investment. State government of Karnataka has released the new policy for Textile 2013-2018, which will attract employment opportunity around 500,000 people and investment approx Rs.100 billion.
